1. Check the network password or security details
If you're connecting your PS5 to a password-protected network, make sure you have the correct password. Entering the wrong Wi-Fi password may trigger the “Cannot connect to Wi-Fi network” error message. If you are not sure, check the network settings or contact your administrator to confirm the password.
2. Manually connect to the Wi-Fi network
Your PS5 console will not automatically detect a hidden wireless network unless you have previously connected to the network. If your PS5 cannot find a network, join the network manually.

4. Run a network test
PlayStation 5 has a native tool to test and diagnose your internet connection. The tool can diagnose slow upload or download speeds and other connection issues. If your PS5 connects to a network but you can't use the internet, use the tool to check the network signal strength.
Open the settings menu of your PS5, go toRot>connection statusand selectTest the internet connection.
If your network passes all checks, there is likely an issue with your console or PlayStation Network servers.
If the tool indicates a problem, reboot the router and run the test again. Moving your router closer to the PS5 or using a network booster/extender can improve your connection speed. Check out other optionsImprove the WiFi signal and performance of your network.

Go to your router settings, increase the network connection limit and try connecting your PS5 to the network again. Contact your network administrator if you cannot access the router's settings. If you cannot increase the connection limit, disconnect other devices from the network to free up space for your PS5.
9. Whitelist or jailbreak your PS5
If devices other than your PlayStation 5 can connect to a network, your PS5 is likely banned or blacklisted. If you can access the network management window, check the Device Management or MAC Address Filtering menu to view the blocked devices.
